On my journey to see what to find out what "minimalism" works best for me, I have decluttered many items that do not serve my life right now. Books have been the hardest items to part with over the years. However, we have gone from a whole room/library of books to much less! Recently, I "right sized" to what is shown in this picture. Many of these books I am using for courses I am currently taking.
(Full disclosure: I have a Kindle. It took a while to get used to not holding a book in my hands, but my favorite books are all on Kindle.)

I am not sure I could pare down to that few. There's certainly be a whole lot less dust if I did!
ReplyDeleteSo amazing! And commendable. I couldn't pare down that much either, but I know I could, and will, pare down a lot. You inspire me to start today!
ReplyDeleteEveryone has a different level of paring down that works for them. I think it is important to find out what works for you and brings you joy! I am sure I'll always have some books around, as I love them so much, but I have also found great freedom in "less." Best wishes on your journey and thank you for your comments!
